What is ACCEC Georgia?
The American Council of Engineering Companies of Georgia (ACEC Georgia) was formed in 1956 (then known as the “American Consulting Engineers Council of Georgia”). The mission of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Georgia is to advance the business and profession of engineering in Georgia. ACEC Georgia accomplishes this mission by delivering on the three core pillars of our Value Proposition:
POLITICAL ADVOCACY – Serving as the voice of the business of engineering at every level of government.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT – Creating networking opportunities, meetings and programs that connect our members to potential clients, partners and the other leaders of the engineering industry. Helping to develop the business and marketing skills of the future leaders of the engineering profession.
FIRM OPERATIONS – Providing programs and resources that highlight best business practices, leadership development, and technology. Providing a forum for the exchange of business and professional knowledge.
ACEC Georgia is a member organization of the American Council of Engineering Companies, a national federation of 51 state and regional organizations headquartered in Washington, DC. ACEC Georgia Member Firms are consulting engineering firms from across the spectrum of engineering disciplines, with permanent offices in the State of Georgia that are staffed by qualified and registered professional engineers.
ACEC Georgia represents more than 200 Member Firms, which employ Georgia of more than 7,000 people in Georgia. ACEC Georgia also represents Affiliate Member firms, which provide professional services or products to Member Firms or which are complementary to the ACEC Georgia’s mission. Only firms judged to be ineligible for membership as a Member Firm are eligible to become Affiliate Members.
