the ACEC/G Building Systems ForumACEC/G is currently re-structuring its Building Systems Forum to address vertical construction issues among structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering. Stay tuned for upcoming meeting. 2010 Special Inspection GuidelinesChapter 17 of the International Building Code requires "special inspections". The IBC was adopted in Georgia with an effective date of 2002. The 2006 edition of the IBC was adopted on January 1, 2007. ACEC/G, in collaboration with SEAOG, proposed guidelines that were included in the Georgia Amendments to the 2006 IBC.
Below are guidelines that were adopted by the Department of Community Affairs Task Force in November 2009. ACEC/G, along with SEAOG and others, was a major stakeholder in reaching a consensus for the adoption of the 2009 Special Inspection Guidelines.
